About Us
Data Domain is New Zealand's specialist data and AI consultancy, implementing data platforms and AI solutions for organisations across the public and private sectors. Strategy, engineering, and applied intelligence under one roof.
We're built on a belief that most organisations don't have a data problem, they have a strategy, engineering, and execution problem. The gap is between what organisations intend to do with data and AI, and what actually gets built, governed, and used.
We work across that gap with a team of practitioners who have built and operated data and AI programmes and understand what it takes to make them work in the real world, not just in a proposal.
As a sister company of TTC Global, we bring the depth of a 500-person global group alongside the focus of a specialist consultancy, giving clients access to serious capability with the flexibility of a boutique organisation.

I spent a decade as a software tester before making the jump to a Data Engineer role at Data Domain. What's surprised me most is the range of problems I get to help solve, from data model builds to report builds to ML workflows. One that stands out: building an MLOps process into a client's existing DevOps setup to improve their churn prediction workflow, taking it from a rough idea to something genuinely production-ready. Along the way I've picked up dbt, Snowflake, and lately AI tools like Cortex Code and Claude. The support here made my upskilling possible and made the jump worth it.
I graduated from the University of Canterbury with a master's degree in Applied Data Science. Before Data Domain, I worked at Auckland Council as a Data Services graduate. Currently, I am part of a team delivering a large platform migration programme, and my work is mostly focused on writing Snowflake queries and creating Power BI reports. I enjoy using DAX in Power BI to create different kinds of functionality, such as slicers. My typical workday at the moment consists of reconciling data, editing my queries, and discussing data with the team.
A typical day starts with checking incoming issues, reviewing active work, and setting priority focus areas before joining cross-team standups. My core hours center on two dedicated deep-work blocks, where I build, refine, and deploy planned implementations. I have LLMs like Snowflake Cortex built directly into my daily routine to speed up development and analysis. With my move to a larger project, this flow will naturally evolve. I'm excited to experience a different phase of the delivery cycle and step into coordinating AI agents in this new environment. I'll be using my deep Snowflake knowledge to bring intelligent automation and stronger capabilities to an expanded data ecosystem.
My journey started as a graduate DBA at Oracle, before moving to building and supporting data warehouses. I've built reports, dimensional models, dashboards, and everything in between. For me, every piece of work I've done starts the same: an open conversation, understanding the problem, and asking the right questions. Along the way, I managed to fit in 15 years of SAP consulting before settling back into "traditional" data warehouse development. Today it's a new world centered around cloud and AI agents, but fundamentally, I'm doing the same thing I have always done, just faster. A typical day consists of using dbt, VSCode, and AI agents to build, debug, and test the work I am doing.

Your questions answered
Is Data Domain connected to TTC Global?
Yes. Data Domain is a sister company of TTC Global, which means that alongside our own specialist data and AI consultancy, we can draw on a wider 500-person global group when a client needs additional capability.
What makes Data Domain different from a larger consultancy?
We're deliberately technology-agnostic and senior-led. The people who scope your engagement are the same people who deliver it, and every recommendation is guided by your business objectives rather than a preferred platform or vendor relationship.
How does Data Domain typically structure a project team?
For most engagements you work directly with senior consultants such as the people profiled on this page, supplemented by delivery specialists as needed. We keep project teams lean and senior rather than staffing up with layers of junior delivery resource.
